Johnson City Metropolitan Transportation Planning Organization (MTPO) is a transportation planning organization. Our staff is updating the Johnson City Urbanized Area Coordinated Public Transit - Human Services Transportation Plan. This plan is required by federal law so that projects selected for funding under the Elderly Individuals and Individuals with Disabilities (Section 5310) Program be derived from a locally developed, coordinated public transit-human services transportation plan (Coordinated Plan) and that the plan be developed through a process that includes representatives of public, private, and non-profit transportation and human services providers and participation by members of the public. This plan identifies the transportation needs of individuals with disabilities, older adults, and people with low incomes, provide strategies for meeting these needs, and prioritize transportation services for funding and implementation.

We need your input! By completing the Community Stakeholder and Provider Survey or the Public Transportation Survey shown in the right hand column of this page, you will provide information that will show us what are the needs for transportation in our area.
